This was an inaugural mobile gambling summit, against the backdrop of the newly enacted Gambling Act in UK earlier in 2005, Europe presents a progressive market where the market and governments are more gambling friendly (where there is middle or minority which already gamble), contrast that with Asia Pacific (particularly Asian countries), where majority of the public are used to some form of gambling, but most governments there are still not decided whether and how to regulate the remote gambling markets.

This summit was indeed useful to bring together those that already operate in this field but also some who are planning to, and there were for the first time some real figures coming out in the summit (from Cellectivity) about how real mobile gambling operators are fairing in the market.

This was an inaugural Multi-Platform Gambling Forum, it was well attended by industry veterens and also new faces, there were more established but major companies (like banks) coming from outside of our sector, it certainly signifies the arrival of our gambling sector as a major force.
